And with this one is the third festival that the band is going to play this year. The first one was "Summersonic", then "Rock en Seine" and now the very well known "Rock am See", which will take place the 1st September.
This festival has held artist like "Placebo", "Iggy & the Stooges", "Metallica", "Sum 41" and even the big "Blink 182". But now is time for the punk rock big trio to show Germany who is going to rule this year.
However, all these news about the band playing festivals is a bit confusing, does that mean that the album will be out this summer?, in case not, will they play new songs at the festivals?.
Lots of questions need to be answered and I hope that they come soon and the band keeps uploading info about their studio activity and also keeps announcing new gigs all over the world.
Meanwhile, here you can see what these guys are able to do during a festival, enjoy:
As most of you know this band, I am sure there's people who still doesnt know this awesome band from Bradenton, Florida.
The members are: Travis (vocals), Hunter (guitarist), Charles (bassist) and Danny (drummer).
I am afraid to say that I didn't knew these guys until last Monday when I attended to the Simple Plan show in Madrid. There I realised how great this band is. Their sound is very catchy, exactly the sound you want to hear when you are both in a party or home alone.
And they're totally nice with the crowd! They like playing around with the fans.
Look at this pic of their concert:
I don´t like labeling but i would say their beat is something like pop-rock or pop-punk, but very powerful anyway.
And let me assure you that on of the best things of them it's that it's not the kind of band that loses potency when they play live.
Here you have one of their songs: skyway avenue
In addition, they show their comic side by recording a mini-chapter web series called "the king's carriage" where the tell in a very funny way their lives when touring. Here you have one example. Hilarious!
Their leader, Ryan Key; recently had an interview with "insider.com" and he has revealed a few details about the album they are recording at the moment. Ryan tell us how the recording process is taking place and why has the band decided to record a new album just a year after their last release"When you are through thinking say yes". Actually, Ryan revealed that the word"air" is in the new album title and that there is also an acoustic song called "Ten".
It seems that the band has no intention of taking a break after the last bad new about Sean o'donell leaving the band, in spite of being stuck and not getting over it, the band has dealt with it and transformed it into music.
I really do believe that the album is going to be even better that their last one and thats why we wish would luck to the guys.
here is a demo the band uploaded recently:
Follow their studio activity everyday by joining this live stream
The leader of anthological punk band Mike Herrera has performed some acoustic versions of their hits "Secret Weapon" and "The final slow dance" at the "dying scene sessions" for "punkvideosrock".
The band is set to release their last album "Plans within plans" this year and just a few weeks ago they revealed their first single with a new video.
Well, after many
rock shows, it was time for Simple Plan to show us their skills! And might as
well they did!
Pierre and the
rest of this Canadian band started off their ''Get your heart on! Tour'' to present their
last album. The tour started in Portugal and continued to Madrid and Barcelona,
where tickets were sold out. And if you were with us attending to the shows, you’ll
understand why!
Simple Plan members are
no longer that sweet teenagers they used to be, now they are real rockers,
totally able to handle a real rock show.
In Madrid we
started queuing at 10 a.m and there were so many people by that time that we couldn’t
even see the gates from our sites! Some of the fans even slept there; but to be
honest we were very lucky, the weather was really good and the sun didn’t
leave us in the entire day.
As it’s a tradition,
the organization didn’t manage the crowd very well, but all in all, there were
no problems. Once we got in, we could listen to the supporting band: We the
kings! They were, and I mean it, awesomely and absolutely kickass live! They
rocked so hard, people freaked out and they made us get exhausted when SP hadn’t even
started! And that was not an easy task since the drummer, Danny, had a problem
in one of his wrists and needed a supporting drummer.
Not many people
knew this band, but it is amazing, seriously. I’ll do a review soon!
They played all
their hits (not sure about the order):
-She takes me
high
-Skyway avenue
-Secret valentine
-What you do to
me
-Say you like me
-We’ll be a
dream
-Check yes Juliet
This is a clip from "What you do to me" I recorded, but the quality is not very good so I invite you to listen to them on Youtube.
And for those
who didn’t know their songs, they sang
The middle (by Jimmy Eat World) who caused a little mosh pit.
In fact, I could talk with one of the members:
Charles, who told me that they would try to come back as soon as they can! He
even dedicated a hello to this blog!
And about Simple Plan, the setlist was:
Shut
up
Can’t
keep my hands of you
Jump
When
I’m gone
Addicted
You
suck at love
Thank
you
Your
love is a lie
Astronaut
Summer
Paradise
Medley
covers: moves like Jagger (by Maroon 5) / Dynamite (by Taio Cruz) / I’m sexy
and I know it (by LMFAO)
Jet
Lag
The
worst day ever
This
song saved my life
Welcome
to my life
I’d
do anything
Loser
of the year
I’m
just a kid
Crazy
(acoustic)
Perfect
I recorded this clip from "Your love is a lie"
The show was incredible, Pierre’s
voice sounded perfect. And one of the most surprising things is the fact that
David, the bassist, really got into the show by talking and interacting with
the crowd even more than Pierre!
He even dedicated a pair of winks to me when I was the only one around
who was jumping.
Pierre made big efforts to show us his skills talking Spanish, and he doesn’t
do it that bad, looks like he’s good at languages!
Jeff (guitarist) was also a good point, always throwing picks.
All the girls got highly excited, and to be honest, even the straight
boys succumbed to their charms a little bit. And mainly in the moment when David jumped from
the stage to the crowd just above me; he almost broke my neck, but helping a
musician with his show is always rewarding, isn’t it?
When the show was over, people were not tired, but exhausted! But we
still had a last breath to wait around for the guys to sign our tickets and to
dedicate them a last pair of shouts! And
they did demonstrate they were happy to be there by coming and taking photos
with us. They are nice, really.
And as usual I met awesome people who are at least as crazy as I am, or
even more. When I got home, I could read this in twitter: @jeffstinco (guitarist) "Madrid, holly f***!" with this picture added:
Click Here to see more pictures taken by me and some friends during the show!
In Barcelona, the show was very similar, with the same setlist and hardly any of space to jump or do a mosh pit, but an incredible show of course!
The guys from England has joined forces with Thorpe Park and have made a theme song for their new ride, The Swarm. It's great to see that the band releases new songs for this kind of projects. Talking about the band, due to recent illness affecting english punk rock band leader Josh Franceschi, the group has been forced to moved their gigs in Dublin and Belfast. This is what Josh tweeted:
"Really sorry Ireland. Tonsillitis is not pretty and I refuse to not give you my very best. Doctor's orders that I rest up and start the tour in Leicester on Saturday.
I know many of you will be angry, hopefully the rescheduled dates work with all your plans.
I am sorry for the inconvenience. If it makes you feel better at all... we'll be missing spending Easter with our family and joining our Irish compadres instead. Fingers x'd I'll be fixed and this won't affect any more dates."
Anyway, hopefully Josh will recover soon and show the world how his band rocks. This summer they will take part on the Reading and Leeds festival and they will also be touring in the Warped Tour 2012. It seems that the band has no time for resting this year, which is great.
Here you have the video, enjoy:
ps: due to unreasonable reasons, twitter has suspended our account so it will be impossible for us to keep you updated through twitter, join us on Facebook and stay tuned for more post, thank you.
It seems like it's been a while since the band posted the last video of their studio recording process. Maybe because of the fact that they uploaded 4 videos in a week. Anyway, a new video's been posted and this one doesn't reveal any information about the album as the others did. We can see the band jamming and talking about the sound. Here you have it.
Their last album "Kids in the Street" will be released the 27th March and the band has already offered their fans some singles off the record and their last one is the song that names the album, "Kids in the Street".
This is the album track list:
1-"Someday's gone"
2-"Beekeeper's daughter"
3-"Fast Slow"
4-"Heartbeat slowing down"
5-"Walk over me"
6-"Out the door"
7-"Kids in the Street"
8-"Bleed into your mind"
9-"Gonzo"
10-"Affection"
11-"I for You"
For those who don't know, the band will be supporting the majestic Blink 182 in their summer tour presenting their brand new album. Unluckily we'll have to wait until july, but i'm pretty sure that the wait will be totally worth.
Here you got the songs released from the album:
Kids in the streets
Someday's gone
Beekeeper's daughter
Giving you my opinion, I'll wait for the album to be released and listen to it entirely, because right now, from the songs I've heard, I'm not convinced very much, we'll wait then for a complete listening.
That's it, this year's Warped Tour is about to be insane as hell, new bands have been added to the incredible line-up that the known american festival has set for this year.
Through the summer there are lots and lots of festivals, each one is normally characterized by a music genre that governs the line up, but there are also bands from different tunes and vibes. But the Warped Tour cannot handle not having punk-rock bands, and that is awesome, i mean, the Warped Tour is not just a festival with a few bands touring the U.S, there are lots of punk-rock and hardcore bands playing and it is also the perfect place to get to know your idols and people that like the same music you do.
Appart from this(be sure that there will be a great post about the tour itself) the organization keeps announcing and announcing new bands and the last names announces have been these ones:
Anti-Flag
Falling in Reverse:
Four Year Strong:
Yellowcard:
We the Kings:
Other bands have also been announced the past few days, "Pierce the Veil", "Streetlight Manifesto", but the thing is that all this new announcements join bands like "Mayday Parade", "You Me At Six", "Senses Fail", "We are in the Crowd", "Man Overboard" and more bands which you can see here.
But the big announcement of the tour was made last week, one of the biggest pop-punk bands of all time revealed that they were playing the 2012 Warped Tour, check which band am I talking about:
As mentioned in previous post, the punk band from Pittsburg is set to release their last studio album "The General Strike" on March the 20th, next week. But it seems that the band cannot wait for their fans to listen to their record and thats why they completely put it in streaming in Spinner.com. (here)
For those about to listen to the album, i warn you, be prepared for another master piece made of 2012 punk rock. I am totally buying a copy the day the album is on sale as it has all the aspects that define the band, punk, bigass drums, political message, and all that ix with incredible riffs and tunes.
Here is a video of their first single off the album, you can discover about it message in the post we put a few days ago.
Before showing you the playlist you made with your request from twitter i wanted to announce you something, for those who don't know yet, the band is in the studio recording the new album!!. Yes!, there were some speculations and rumors about the band being in the studio, and suddenly, the band answered with this pics! We are very excited to listen to some demos and see what is going to be the direction the band takes.
This are the 10 songs that you voted as you favorite All Time Low songs:
Lullabies
The Party Scene:
Forget about it:
Stella:
Heroes:
Break your little heart:
Sick little games:
Six feet under the stars:

Obviously, the band hasn't only 10 good songs and it's very hard to decide which one is the best, anyway, hope you like it!
People from all over the world wait for this day to come every year. Reading and Leeds festival are one of the greatest festivals in the world, and it's known that tickets fly by as they are released and available to be bought and that is happening right now. The announcement of the big names of the festival were announced yesterday at 7:15 and from that moment, the web collapsed and it took some minutes to know the band, but we finally knew, and believe me, what a line-up!!
The best of all this is that, even though a lot of bands have been announced, there are still more to be announced as there are going to be 7 stages in the festival. But right now, we only know which bands are going to be displayed during the 24,25 and 26th August in the main stage, the "NME" stage and the dance stage.
Lets go day by day:
The first day, the 24th starts with a big takeover by indie music at the NME stage with "Foster the People", "The Maccabees" and "The Courteeners". The main stage is filled with great bands which will blow peoples mind for sure. In the list we find bands like Tom Delongue's "Angels & Airwaves", "Crystal Castles", "You Me At Six", "Paramore" or "The Cure", who will close the first night.(Such an epic band for the first night).
Then, Saturday 25th don't let people relax and still offers a great line-up, which is formed by a very punk, post-hardcore line up at the NME stage, formed by "Billy Talent", "Mike Snow", "The Cribs", and "At The Drive In". And a main stage composed by bands from different genres, "Odd Future", "Enter Shikari", "The Vaccines", "Florence + the Machine" and "Kasabian" setting the audience on fire.
Finally, the last day of the festival(best by far) is mainly ruled by rock and has the best end that the festival could have.
We will be able to see great alternative-indie bands like "Two Door Cinema Club","Justice", "SBTRKT" or "The Horrors" at the NME BBC stage, I'm pretty sure "The Horrors are going to kill it.
Then, the main stage blows my mind, completely, "The Gaslight Anthem", "All Time Low", "Bullet for my Valentine", "Kaiser Chiefs", "The Black Keys", and ladies and gentleman, the band closing the Reading festival 2012 is.........."Foo Fighters"!!, is not the first time the rockers from the states play in Reading and Leeds, and be sure that their performance will be epic. Due to this announcement, the band has released the audio for the concert they gave at the same festival but 17 years ago, you can listen to it here .
And here you have the image of this year:
enjoy, i do hope that those who go to the festival have the time of their lives.
It's official now, "Rock en Seine", the French festival, has just added Green Day to its head-line.
This is not a big surprise if we remember that Green Day members have been very active lately, recording the new album and uploading videos of the process.
So, for the moment, all we can say is that Green Day is playing in the Fest, who is taking Paris on August 24,25 and 26. The day that GD is playing hasnt been said, but the one-day ticket's price is 50 euros.
This 3-days fest takes place in the West Paris, and like a curiosity, this is the festival at which Oasis split up on 28 August 2009 after Liam and Noel Gallagher had a fight just before they were due to headline the main stage.
And about the others bands playing: Noel Gallagher's high flying birds, Foster the people, Placebo, Sigur Ros, the black Keys and Mark Lanegan are the officials by the moment.
The new project brought up by Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba has just released a new single entitled "All Fall Down", as mentioned in the previous post about the band(you can see it here ), the band is a mix of punk and rock and roll. I have got to say that the song sounds pretty good, and the teaser of the song "Voices" looks like its going to be a hit so hopefully, the album will be well received by the audience.
The leader of the band, Matt Skiba, gave an interview to "Spinner" where they aired the song, here its the interview:
How does this project differ from your work in Alkaline Trio and your previous side project, Heavens?
I was solely responsible for the crafting of the songs. With both Heavens and Alkaline Trio, it's very much a team. I love writing with people that I love and respect and taking an idea, pulling it to pieces and then rebuilding it to something that breathes. With 'Babylon,' I went in commando style.
Did you go into this project looking to recruit this band, or did it start more organically?
I had the songs written so I did recruit people to play. Jarrod and I have become really good friends because of this project. Before this we had never met. He was recommended to me by a mutual friend/musician. I've been friends with Hunter for years and a big fan of his playing so thankfully he came down and did it. I've just recruited two guitar players who are really good friends and rippers. We gonna party.
Your foot was crushed by a truck last fall. What happened and are you all healed up?
It did indeed. I was on my motorcycle, stopped at a light. My stance was really wide and I was spacing out as the light changed and the semi to my right didn't see me and slowly ran over my right foot. I was wearing steel toe Dr Martens thankfully. I broke a bone in my foot and my ankle bone was completely broken free. I healed really fast and back to riding and surfing and playing shows. The doctor told me my boot saved my foot. Thank you, Dr Martens!
What touring plans do you have? Will you be playing only songs from this project?
We are talking late-May in select cities in the U.S. After that, we'll see ...
What's next for you and Alkaline Trio?
We're talking about recording a new album in the fall. Dan and I have both been writing songs for it.
I am very excited about the album and this interview reveals that the mix of sounds coming from each band member are gonna fit perfectly. All in all, here you have the single "All Fall Down"
