This year, the eastpak antidote tour came to Madrid to offer us a pretty cool show for such a low Price.
The organization was great, there were no problems: perfect queue, cheap merchandaise, and the timetables were correct. There were no innecessary waits and they gave lots of picks, t-shirts and stuff.
The theme was mainly the hardcore music, the artists were: the skyline war, living with lions, the ghost inside and the super bands August burns red and a day to remember.
As usual in this kind of shows, there were plenty of circle and mosh pits and a pair of walls of death. People didn’t stop jumping and pushing. Security staff had work that night.
The last part of the show with A day to remember just made the night. The setlist was the same as in Barcelona, but they played “it’s complicated” instead of “monument”.
During “Homesick”, the singer, Jeremy, jumped to the public enclosed in a large plastic ball. He was right above us. Later lots of ballons were dropped from the ceiling and by the end of the show, there were so many things flying (beach balls, condoms, ballons, paper rolls) that you had to be protecting your face constantly.
In my opinion, they made a safe, beautiful and funny show even for the underaged people, making possible that everyone stop being afraid of going to hardcore gigs, they’re bombastic!
