To start winter as it deserves, the kooks were coming to Madrid to present their lastest work: junk of the heart.
The gig, @ La Riviera, was supposed to be way quieter than the concerts we are used to go, but the kooks have demosntrarted over all these years that they're real artists so we didn't hesitate to go. And since Nacho was in London atending to a Zebrahead show, I bought the ticks as soon as I could.
The queue kept very calm, except for the moment when Luke Pritchard came out to say hello and people went crazy.
To the show, we got front-row. At first we though the musicians were gonna have a distant and cold attitude because they looked very shy, but they weren't at all. Luke was speaking the whole time, and throwing picks, and dind't stop making people sing&dance.

The show was not good but perfect! Luke voice is exactly as it sounds in the albums, or even better!
The setlist was a perfect mix of their three albums, they did not forget any of their best songs. The bad part of all this is that everything just flew by, all in one second! Moreover they did not expend too much time in the goodbye, just said thanks and they left (after the drummer gave a stick to Nacho). I guess Luke disappeared that fast due to the hot because he did not take off his very british jacket in all the show.
I recorded this: Killing me.
