Cocacola Music Experience 2012

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while, but here I am again!
The last event I have attended was the Cocacola Music experience in Madrid. It was very weird as I don't use to go this kind of partys because they try to make everyone happy and the music mixture is sometimes very strange..But Simple Plan was coming so I ended up buying a ticket!
I decided not to queue so i went like 15 minutes or so before the door opening. As you can imagine the amount of little girls was considerable so I just had to run, push a little bit and get kicked by those girls mothers to be in an appropriate site.
The rest of the bands were nothing but vulgar in my opinion. All of them were Spanish but it was like: now such a Justin Bieber wannabe! Later, the Spaniard version of One direction! And so on. The only part I enjoyed waiting for Simple Plan: when the Spanish poprock band Everlyn played to present their very upcoming brand new album A Ticket To The Moon and when that Dj played "Let yourself go".
Then, finally Simple Plan appeared and  it all tuned right. The setlist included their most famous hits, nothing special to be honest but it was funny to see'em again! Me and my friends tried to dance, jump and push each other, but the people (mainly 12 year-old girls and romantic and stupid couples) were yelling at us...so we had to calm down. That kind of people sucks...
The setlist:
- Shut up
- Can't keep my hands off you
- Jump
- When I'm gone
- Addicted
- You suck at love
- Your love is a lie
- Astronaut
- Moves like Jagger/ Dynamite/ Sexy and I know it
- Jet Lag
- Summer Paradise
- Welcome to my life
- Loser of the year
- I'd do anything
- Perfect
Well..when the Simple Plan gig ended with "Perfect" we left as fast as we could because the Head line was a Spanish artist whose name I won't even say..Because Simple Plan was the only international band in the whole festival..but that non talented singer was still the last one to play...
This summary may look negative but the Simple Plan gig was amazing!! It's just that the fest is not the type  of concerts I'm really keen on...
Well, here you have 2 vids, judge by yourselves!

:) see ya!

Green Day - Rock en Seine

As I told you some months ago, I had the chance to travel to Paris, France with a clear target: attend to the festival where Green Day was playing on Sunday 26th of August. As i was travelling with some friends I knew since the first moment this travel was not gonna be too much normal.
We arrived on Thursday with no much time to spend visting Paris but to get ready because, lucky me, I had written to the Billy Talent staff and me and three more friends had a pass to enter the festival the next day.
When we woke up, we got there and surprisingly, we didn't just have a free pass, moreover we had a VIP pass, which we could enter the VIP zone with. The first thing we did was going to the main stage to see Billy Talent, and like anybody can imagine, they were awesome. Here you can watch two of their songs

When their show was over, we went to the VIP zone and after they answered this little interview

we could spend some time with them talking mainly about what was next on their tour and they said that if there wasn't any problem they were touring the rest of Europe, Spain included in some months.
Ben, Ian, Jonathan and Aaron are absolutly nice I gotta say.
When the guys from the band left, we enjoy the rest of the day in the festival having a great time, mainly in the Converse zone. Where we could play the bass, guitar and drums to cover some Green Day and other bands songs.
Here is Nacho playing a Blink-182 song:
And here we play warning:

The next day we basically visited the city, althought, you know, always clowning and fooling around to keep it true hahaha.
About the city, all I can say is that it always seemed boring to me since all that shit about "the city of love" and that stuff but it's actually such a fun and beautiful city with plenty of places to visit and enjoy.
On Sunday, we obviously woke up early to go to the queue. We spend a lot of time there, but it was totally worth it. They opened the gates and let us in, we did not enter the first ones, but never better, we were the first ones to run. Bucause fortunately for us, the gates were a long distance away from the main stage and we took advantage of that to arrive betweet the first people and so we caught front row sites.
The waiting was a little bit long, but some other bands played and they were great, above all the veterans "Social distortion". And finally, after 8 hours of wait, our favorite band appeared on the stage.
It was about two hours wich just flew by. The amazing setlist was:
- Welcome to Paradise
- Murder city
- Know your enemy
- Stay the night
- oh love
- Holiday
- Burnout
- Hitchin' a ride
- letterbomb
- Hihgway to hell/rock and roll covers
- Brain Stew
- Saint Jimmy
- Boulevard of broken dreams
- 2k light years away
- When I come around
- Longview
- Basket case
- She
- King for a day
- Shout
- Minority
- American idiot
- 99 Revolutions
- Good Riddance

It is amazing how they have fun while playing their songs no matter how many times they do.
Personally, it was my first Green Day concert, and of course it was one of the most emotional moments of my life. It's like...I had watched Bullet in a bible and Awesome as fuck so many times and this time I was into  the crowd and in the first line, screaming my lungs out and jumping with some of my best friends.
Here you have a pair of vids of the show

Lots of people from Europe were there just to support Billie, Tre and Mike, who are one of the most awesome, inspirational, nice...in general I could spend the day saying good things about these guys, seriously.
Talking about music and playing live, they are the best band nowadays. I've seen many bands but never a band has surprise me as much as Green Day did.

When we got our apartment we didn't even sleep. We just sit in the sofa and were in silence while time was passing, thinking about the concert we had just been to. Then we took our flight back and this adventure ended.
However let's be optimistic, they will tour Europe in 2013, and we will be there :)

Here you have a videowork about the trip:

Blink-182 visited Spain!

It was a long time ago when we told you that Blink 182 was planning an eurotour and Spain was in the map, but time has flown by and the dates have come and passed.
In the first place, we travel to Barcelona, where we met some friends and we sleep one night in the queue. It is amazing how people love this band, some crazy guys slept even 4 nights!
The time we spent was nothing but funny even though we could not sleep too well (the ground is not so comfortable.) During the day, the sun and the nerve made some people be kind of unfriendly but nothing important.
Then we got our "uniforms" on and tainted our hair red, yellow and green (like the Take Off Your Pants And Jacket album) and we run hella fast just to get front-row sites. Then, you know, once the concert started everything passed so freaking fast.
The show commenced with the amazing "the all american rejects" and their show was perfect, the voice of the singer is much more powerful than it sounds in the albums. The setlist:
- Dirty little secret
- Top of the world
- Swing swing
- Kids in the street
- Walk over me
- Gonzo
- It ends tonight
- Move along
- Gives you hell

Later, Mark Travis and Tom made the night, they're absolutly nice.
The setlist:
- Feeling this
- Up all night
- The rock show
- What's my age again?
- Down
- I miss you
- Wishing well
- Dumpweed
- Always
- Violence
- After midnight
- First date
- Blowjob song
- Heart's all gone
- Man overboard
- Ghost on the dancefloor
- Fuck a dog
- All the small things
- Fuck a dog.

Encore:

- Can a drummer get some?
- Carousel
- Dammit
- Family reunion.

In my opinion, the setlist lacked of some classics such as "mutt", "not now", "aliens exist" or "reckless abandon" but this is the problem with this bands, they have so many amazeballs songs that it's literally impossible to add them all in an only gig.

When the concert was over, we took a shower and got a bus to Madrid, but this time we decided go to the show more relaxed and didn't queue. In the show(that was very similar) we  jumped, got sweaty and screamed like hell. It is amazing how so many people love to jump and dance in mosh pits just like us.
The all american rejects played the same songs but Tyson Ritter, the lead singer, came on the stage dressed like a Torero.
This time, Blink played "when you fucked grandpa" instead of the blowjob song. And I'm not sure it was a good example for his song who was in the stage watching how amazing his dad rocks!

And this is how it ended, a lot of memories, sticks, posters and picks. Some of out friends even met the bands members. It was some of the days more special of my life, and if we are lucky this won't be the last time!
Here you can watch a pair of vids. The first one is from Barcelona and the second from Madrid.

Coldplay was back in Madrid!

Hello, we know we have been a little bit disappeared lately, sorry for that.
But today I'm here to talk you about the last show we have attended: Coldplay at Estadio Vicente Calderón, Madrid. Forming part of their Mylo Xyloto tour, which started also in Madrid last October.
Coldplay are known for holding the most spectacular shows, we know why now.
In the first place, when the gates opened and we got into the stadium, we were given some wristbands which were supposed to shine when the show started.
Then we ran and we get front row sits, or at least something like that. Because some people had paid lots of money for a special ticket and they had a space reserved, we thought that space was going to be little, but it was pretty big, so we were way too far from the stage.
Anyway the first thing we did was forgive that and enjoy the show.
During the permorfance of the first guest: Rita Ora, the weather was not too nice and it rained heavily, but with the second one: Marina and the diamonds, it stopped just on time. All the crowd was very worried afraid of the rain or the show being cancelled.

And finally, it was turn for Coldplay to show up! The stage was all the way decorated with paintings, screens and lots of colors, fluorescent colors (something like the Charlie Brown video).
Then it started and I was so much amazed that I can't describe how it was, I think you have to attend to get it right.
All I can say is that this show has been the most spectacular, amazeballs and extremely awesome one i have ever seen. Seriously, the fireworks, and all the details were beautiful. Specially the effect of the wristbands which shined with some songs. Look at this:

The setlist:
Mylo Xiloto
Hurts like heaven
In my place
Major Minus
Lovers in Japan
The scientist
Yellow
Violet hill
God put a smile up on your face
Princess of China
Up in flames
Warning sign
Don't let it break your heart
Viva la vida
Charlie Brown
Paradise
Us against the world
Speed of sound
Clocks
Fix you
Every teardrop is a waterfall

As you see it included their classics with their most famous hits from their last album: Mylo Xyloto. And in between Chris Martin talked in Spanish and told us to jump or scream.
The organization was perfect, no problems and no fights so that we were surrounded by that kind of bliss and peace sensation. All very beautiful and very funny.
Here you have a video:

Tell me it isn't exciting.
Hope you enjoy this post as much as i enjoyed the show.
